My Favorite Fall Activity In My Favorite Fall Accessory

Apple picking is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. It isn’t something everyone gets to experiment since not all parts of our country grow apples. Sunday, my mom and I took Myles to Lynd Fruit Farm outside of Columbus, Ohio to do some picking. Last year I brought Myles apple picking as well and he was a tiny 4 week old baby and it was so hot. Probably as hot as it was this Sunday.
Apple picking is a fall staple for me and so is a women’s wide brim hat. I have put away my straw fedoras and have brought out my wool hats. This hat I am wearing is from Fashionable Hats. They have a huge selection of hats and a variety of style, material and colors.

I did some cropping because in most of my pictures Myles was coming towards me or wanting me to pick him up so he could reach the apples. Although he did have a lot of fun with all the apples on the ground and had no problem taking bites out of all of them. I love that you can eat as many apples as you want while picking. Can an apple taste any better than one you pick right off the tree yourself?  If you missed my Instagram photo click here to see how sweet Myles was sharing his apple with me.
When I was contacted by Fashionable Hats to write a blog post about stying one of their hats I was so excited for the opportunity. I chose one of their Walrus hats, the Monterey hat in burgundy. I was torn between the other color options. I thought about going with light brown but wasn’t sure if there would be too much contrast with my hair, then I thought I should go with black because it would go with everything. But you know what, the black hat would not have gone with this outfit. Please look at the detail of the tie on this hat. The ends have little metal pieces that are textured and I just love them.

By the way... you can get 10% off your hat of choice by entering LIVINGLEREVE10 at check out. This code is valid for not 1 but 3 months! Time to stock up on you fall and winter hats!

When you go to order your hat online make sure you measure you head. I prefer to try hats on because I feel like I have a big head but the size chart Fashionable Hats provides is a great guidance. There is also no need to worry about your hat arriving smashed. My hat arrived in a hat box in perfect condition. The box and an insert in the center so there was no way the center of the hat could lose its shape.

The Breakdown:

Doing fall activities and dressing in fall fashion. I had no idea the apples were going to be the exact same color as my hat! I had got this dress on sale which means it was a summer piece but I think it’s perfect for fall. Of course styling it with booties and a wool felt hat made the dress fall appropriate making this dress a transition piece.

Don’t forget you can order a hat of your choice from Fashionable Hats and recieve 10% off with code LIVINGLEREVE10

I want to thank Fashionable Inc. for sponsoring this post, all opinions are my own.
