Friday nights fashion show took place at Crosstown Concourse which used to be the old Sears Crosstown building built in the late 1920’s. It is a huge warehouse, really massive, that they have turned into residences and as well as for commercial use. The main lobby is beautiful and that is where we set the runway. Memphis Fashion Week was the first event to take place in this new building and it was flawless.
How pretty is this flower crown!? Since Bluff City Lights wants to get our readers more involved in things we love, we are doing a giveaway with The Ivory Closet and Kacie Cooper Designs!
I added the photo to show you guys the working version of this outfit. I had a minute before the show started to pop out into the crowd and say hi to Bluff City Lights ladies. Fanny pack and flats were 100% necessary!
As you know by now, I styled back stage and was lucky enough to wear an outfit from my good friends store, The Ivory Closet. I needed to wear something I could move in. Knowing I would be squatting and standing, kneeling and maneuvering I wanted to wear pants. These pants I wore are so chic and almost look like a skirt. The legs have slits in them that give a lot of movement when you walk. Honestly, I wasn’t sure this off-the-shoulder bodysuit I chose was a good idea. It turned out just fine, the shoulder stayed in place the whole night. Only occasionally I had to pull my sleeves down. Megan and I actually have the same bodysuit on but you can barely tell becuase it is styled so differently. I chose a nude shoe after trying on a variety of black ones. The nude shoe is more of a tan color but is the perfect nude for my skintone.
