What to Wear to Art on Fire

Art on Fire is 3 days away! I absolutely love the Dixon and this event. For any of you that have yet to figure out what to wear, allow me to help. This past week I went store to store finding the perfect Art on Fire look from some of my favorite stores in Memphis.

There were a couple of major factors I took into consideration while finding these looks and I think you should too. Lets start with shoes. Art on Fire takes place on the south lawn at the Dixon which is an acre of beautiful green space, that means a lot of grass. I suggest any sort of flat, stacked heel or wedge. It is fall after all and the first shoe that comes to mind is the boot. Boots can range from ankle, mid calf, knee high or thigh high. Choose any length you prefer as long as the heel can withstand grass (think stacked chunky heels or a wedge). Sneakers have been popular for quite some time now and I feel we are very lucky about that because they are comfortable and easy to walk in. You can be chic in sneakers whether they are a flat sneaker or a wedge sneaker.

Another thing to consider is layering. This time of year the evenings start out warm and can end up very cold. Keep in mind there will be a bonfire to help keep you warm!

Fall is a great season to dress for because of all the layers you can add, there are loads of accessories to help keep you warm. There is so much texture to the material in fall clothing. I love how depth can be created when layering with a variety of fabrics.

I hope you guys can find some great inspirations from this blog for Art on Fire this weekend! Comment below to let me know if you have any questions!

I want to thank all of the stores who participated and allowed me to put these looks together. 20twelve, Joseph, Lavish, Oak Hall and Southern Couture!

  1. I know this is an old post, but I sort of NEED that blue bag from Essentiel Antwerp.. It's so cute and fun.

  2. This is a gorgeous place, and I won't soon forget it. Attended an event here sponsored by the company. The reception hour at seattle venues was held in one of the rooms next to the hall. I loved their buttery mashed sweet potato.
